The Missing Layer: Why We Built EAZR
Insurance has become efficient at distribution, but not at understanding. EAZR was built to close that gap — turning policies, clauses, renewals, and family coverage into something people can actually understand, act on, and trust.

Insurance was never supposed to feel this confusing.
For most people, protection begins and ends with a purchase. A policy is bought, a PDF is downloaded, a premium is paid, and then life moves on. On paper, that looks like security. In reality, it often is not. People remain underinsured, families stay unevenly covered, clauses go unread, renewals slip, and claims become moments of panic instead of support. The industry has become efficient at distributing policies, but not nearly as effective at helping people truly understand, maintain, and use protection in a meaningful way.
That is the gap EAZR was built to close.
EAZR exists because the real problem in insurance is not only access. It is clarity. It is continuity. It is confidence. It is the absence of a layer that helps people make sense of what they already have, what they are missing, and what they should do next. We believe the next era of insurance will not be shaped by who sells the most policies, but by who helps people stay genuinely protected over time.
That is why EAZR is being built as an intelligence layer for protection.
At its core, EAZR is not just about buying insurance. It is about understanding your protection life as a whole. What is active? What has expired? Who in the family is covered and who is exposed? Is the sum insured actually enough? Are the terms strong, or are there hidden weaknesses that show up only during a claim? Are you paying for a policy, or are you paying for peace of mind that may not hold when you need it most?
These are not simple questions. They require context, memory, comparison, and interpretation. They require more than a dashboard and more than a generic chatbot. They require a system that can read policies, connect household-level coverage, surface risk, explain tradeoffs, and help users act at the right time. That is the purpose behind EAZR and Hibiscus: to make protection understandable, continuous, and operational for real people.
The vision is larger than convenience. We want to shift insurance from a passive financial product into an active protection system. A system where users can speak naturally, upload documents, ask specific questions, review their family’s overall coverage, understand weak points, and get clear guidance without needing to decode jargon or depend entirely on agents, call centers, and fine print. In a market as large and important as India, this is not a nice-to-have. It is infrastructure that should have existed already.
EAZR is built on a simple belief: being insured is not the same as being protected.
A person can have multiple policies and still be dangerously exposed. A family can be paying premiums for years and still have critical gaps. A claim can be rejected not because insurance failed in theory, but because the user never had the right visibility in practice. That is the tragedy we want to reduce. Not just non-insurance, but false assurance.
So this launch is not the finish line. It is the first public step in building the missing layer between policy ownership and real protection.
We are starting with what matters most: helping users understand their policies, their portfolio, their family-level exposure, and their next best actions. Over time, EAZR will continue evolving into a deeper, more intelligent protection platform — one that does not just sit in the background, but actively helps people stay covered, informed, and prepared.
This is why EAZR exists.
Not to add more noise to insurance.
But to bring clarity to it.
Not to push more products.
But to make protection real.
Not to build another fintech surface.
But to build the layer that should have been there all along.
